Johan Kuikka

Co-founder, Trionic Sverige AB — Uppsala, Sweden

Johan Kuikka is one of the two founders of Trionic Sverige AB, the Swedish company that has designed and built the Veloped and Walker all-terrain rollators since 2006. He is named on the Trionic company imprint as the person responsible for the content published on the Trionic websites.

What is published under this name

Trionic makes walking aids for people who want to keep moving outdoors — on gravel, grass, snow and forest track, not only on flat indoor floors. The guidance published on this site follows from that: how a rollator should be fitted to the person using it, how grip height and walking posture affect pain in the hands, wrists and shoulders, how the brakes and the climbing wheel behave on uneven ground, and how to choose between the Walker and the Veloped.

Articles in the Trionic Knowledge Center and the product guidance pages on this site are published under his name as the person editorially responsible for them at Trionic.

About Trionic

Trionic Sverige AB was founded on 8 February 2006 and designs, manufactures and sells its products from Uppsala, Sweden. Trionic owns the patents, designs and trade marks behind the Veloped and the Walker.

  • Portable…

A good hand pump, folds away neatly.…

  • No comparison…

After using a standard walker for a couple of years I realised it wasn't being helpful for me. I decided after reading about the veloped walker to try one but dealt direct with Stefan in Sweden, so easy and so quick nothing too much trouble, the qual…

  • Excellent bit of kit…

Excellent. From my previous average 20m range, the world has now expanded so much that I was able to take my youngest round the dinosaur museum (him sitting on the seat, facing forward, when he got tired).

I really cannot thank you enough.…

  • I'll just tell you about my experiences :))…

Everything positive has already been said in earlier reviews, so I'll concentrate on my experiences here on Coastal Lancashire, with its paths through sand dunes and pine forests.

About me: I'm 84 and had a very active, not to say athletic, lifest…

  • Confidence…

The Trionic 14er has enabled my wife to make great progress in her rehabilitation following a stroke. She has confidence in its stability and steering and this has given her the confidence to get out and walk. Worth the investment without reserve.…

  • New grips…

The new grips fit & work perfectly. I found they were easy to install but I do have some mechanical skills.

I have owned my 12er for about six years and have completed 5 Marathons (26.2 mi) with it. I estimate I have walked nearly 3,500 miles with…

  • Game changer - simple as that…

I’m a 56 year old, C5 incomplete with balance and endurance challenges. My wife and I live out in the country and honestly my ability to help her with the daily chores of country life since my trauma in July of 2020 has been almost nonexistent.

  • I have christen her Ingrid…

She is much admired particularly by me. She offers so much more stability over sticks, beautifully designed and made, the only thing I have added is a strap to clamp her together when manoeuvring in and out of the car. Looking at the brochure I was w…
