Patent — Trionic Syncro Steering

The Trionic Walker rollator is equipped with a synchronized steering feature (patent pending) that completely eliminates the problems with shimmying and skewed swivel wheels.

Shimmying & skewed wheels

Shimmying and skewed swivel wheels are frequently mentioned by rollator users as being a definite problem area. When walking on uneven ground with a 4-wheeled rollator, sooner or later one of the swivel wheels loses contact with the ground, starts shimmying and regains its contact with the ground in a skewed position. As a result the rollator often comes to an abrupt stop, and there is a considerable risk of the user tripping or even falling over.

Trionic Syncro

The new Trionic Walker rollator is equipped with a synchronized steering feature (patent pending) that eliminates the problems with shimmying and skewed swivel wheels.

By connecting the swivel wheels with each other through a pulley/timing belt arrangement, the two wheels steer in unison.

If one swivel wheel suddenly loses contact with the ground, the other wheel will still keep it positioned in your desired walking direction.

An additional central pulley guarantees that you will enjoy the same type of steering that your car offers, called the “Ackermann Steering Geometry”. When you turn, the inner wheel is allowed to turn at a slightly sharper angle than the outer wheel.

Thanks to its clever design, the function of the Trionic Syncro Steering doesn’t get affected when you fold and unfold the rollator.

My review: this is now my third walker and at the same time my best. Since I have two dogs, I am going outside at least three times a day,

  • From the neighbor to your own Veloped…

Saw it at my neighbor's house and bought it because I was impressed by every aspect. It looks great, handles well (the brakes and function)—which is difficult to grasp for someone with dementia (in our case), but otherwise the brakes work perfectly. …

  • Pure relief!…

I am the kind of person who likes to read reviews, but rarely gives any. But this time I want to share my enthusiasm with others. Due to my MS illness, I am pretty much dependent on a walking aid. So far, I have been using my walking sticks. Since we…

  • My Veloped makes me safe…

Great to be able to take brisk walks with my Veloped in the green area close to my neighborhood. To get there, I pass street crossings, where the Veloped smoothly climbs up and down the curbs. Since the Veloped is easy to "fold" and load in the trunk…

  • Independent walking again…

I have had my Veloped Tour for just over a month and am absolutely delighted with it. Apart from back issues which had limited my walking, this year I have a balance problem. The Trionic has enabled me to get back to enjoying the countryside both on …
