Can I change the delivery address on DHL shipments?
For DHL Express, recipients can usually update delivery details through On Demand Delivery while the package is still in transit. Options may include redirecting to another address within the same country, choosing a pickup point, or rescheduling delivery. Address changes can sometimes cause a short delay.
For DHL Parcel or eCommerce shipments, many regions allow redirection to lockers, service points, or alternate pickup locations via the tracking link or DHL notification.
Once a shipment is out for delivery or already delivered, address changes are typically no longer possible. In those cases, only limited options like pickup points may be available.
For DHL Freight, delivery changes usually require contacting DHL customer service, and in some cases the sender must request the update.
In summary, address changes are often possible if requested early, but the sooner you act, the better the chances of success.
