Which tyres does the Trionic Walker use?
The Trionic Walker 12er and 14er are fitted with Trionic Primera air-pressured tyres with built-in puncture protection. The Walker 9er is the exception: it runs on SuperSoft PU tyres, which are solid and cannot puncture.
Trionic Primera — the 12er and 14er
The Primera is light, strong and puncture resistant, with a carcass made from a high-quality 60-thread weave. It comes fitted as standard on every Walker 12er and 14er, in two sizes:
- Walker 12er — Trionic Primera 12 x 2.00″
- Walker 14er — Trionic Primera 14 x 2.00″
These are air-pressured tyres running on a separate butyl rubber inner tube with a Schrader valve — the same valve found on most cars and bicycles, so an ordinary pump will fit without an adapter.
SuperSoft PU — the 9er
The Walker 9er uses solid SuperSoft PU tyres rather than air-filled ones. There is no inner tube and nothing to puncture, and no air pressure to check. The trade-off is less cushioning than the pneumatic tyres on the larger models.
Ordering replacements
Primera tyres and inner tubes are sold separately as spare parts, so you can replace a worn tyre without changing the whole wheel. Order the size that matches your model — 12″ for the Walker 12er, 14″ for the Walker 14er.
Tyres, inner tubes, brake pads, brake cables and grips are all normal wear parts, and like any wear part they fall outside the warranty.
