Do I need a prescription or a care level (Pflegegrad)?
In Germany the statutory Krankenkasse usually requires a doctor's prescription (Rezept) naming the walking aid before it contributes. For special needs (for example a particularly light model) the prescription should include a justification. A care level (Pflegegrad) is not strictly required, but it can make approval easier.
Please note that Trionic cannot accept or bill prescriptions. Instead, ask us for a cost estimate (Kostenvoranschlag) – in our online shop or by email to support@trionic.com – and send it together with your prescription to your Krankenkasse. The Krankenkasse decides whether it contributes.
Without a prescription you can buy a Trionic privately at any time.
