Hello! How can we help you?

Does French social security reimburse a rollator?

Partly, and under conditions. To be covered by the French health insurance (Assurance Maladie), the rollator (déambulateur) must be prescribed by a doctor and listed on the LPPR (the list of reimbursable products and services). The reimbursement base is set at €53.81 regardless of the model, reimbursed at 60% by the general scheme (i.e. €32.28), and at 100% in the case of an ALD (long-term condition).

As premium models far exceed this base, the remaining cost (reste à charge) is significant. Your complementary insurance (mutuelle) can top it up, and direct purchase remains a simple, fast option. See also our answers on the mutuelle and the APA.

  • Absolutely recommended…

My physiotherapist said: it is like a Porsche! And I can only agree with his opinion.

The rollator is not only elegant but also extremely reliable; I have a secure grip even on bumpy paths, even in snow it gave me good security. The brakes work pe…

  • All round brilliant machine and super efficient people to advise.…

The Trionic 14er has made such a difference to my life. I pulled it out of the box and set off for a walk: down the slab path, and shallow steps, over the rough gravel drive, along the road and back to my door. The Trionic 14er is effortless to move.…

  • Brilliant Product…

After buying a Veloped Tour in 2014 I had no hesitation in purchasing the 9 er Rollator to help support me around the home. It is much sturdier than other walkers I have tried giving me the support to help with my balance and walking which is affecte…

  • Never again without it!…

    In spring I was saying:
If I can't walk better until autumn, I will buy an all-terrain rollator for the vacation in the mountains.

My walking didn’t get better and my back was always crooked while walking. My son helped me with the search and the…

  • I bought the Walker 11 years ago…

Dear Sir or Madam, they asked for a review of the Trionic Walker, but I only ordered 2 inner tubes. I bought the walker 11 years ago and am still enthusiastic about it today. It can cope with almost any terrain, runs easily thanks to the large pneuma…

  • Great experience all the way around!…

I've taken my trek miles on the desert and it'll go anywhere. The training is bringing me to the point where I can walk without it. Even when I had flats from goathead thorns--the bane of all OTR cyclists--they were easily fixed at a bike store. Trio…

  • Technic of folding and holding…

I have to go through three tight doors to come into my apartment. To keep the Veloped folded, I am holding it together with a small bungee cord. Is there a better idea?

At the locker, the small cover is sadly not holding and slides always to the s…

  • Trionic means freedom for me.…

As an enthusiastic walker who also likes to travel with my dog through woods and meadows, I had to give up this pleasure at some point because of my progressive muscle disease. A rollator I bought from another Scandinavian brand was able to maintain …
